Republican activists in South Carolina are working to get out the vote for Bernie Sanders in this Saturday's Democratic primary.
GOP activists are calling the effort Operation Chaos and it's aimed at making a winner of the Vermont senator who's running as an avowed democratic socialist.
Many Republicans and more than a few Democratic party leaders believe Sanders would lose big to President Trump.
South Carolina's open primary allows people to vote even if they aren't registered with the party holding the election.
Meantime, Sanders has left South Carolina. He will be campaigning this weekend ahead of Super Tuesday,
Tonight he will be in Springfield at a rally at the Mass Mutual Center
He will be on one side of the complex while the Springfield Thunderbirds play Bridgeport in the area.
Officials in Springfield say they are expecting lots of traffic but will keep all streets around the facility open.
