The Springfield Mayor is thanking more people in the business community for helping him navigate the city through a treacherous time. The Mayor says Ocean State Job Lot answered his call for additional PPE’s for the city’s first responders by donating 200 surgical masks.
In addition, Aaron’s Inc. also donated 300 surgical masks to help protect our brave and dedicated police, fire and front line personnel against the ongoing fight against the coronavirus.
Sarno in a statement says that he is thankful for their efforts on behalf of first responders.
“Once again, I am truly humbled and grateful to our Springfield business community for continuing to step up after I made a call for assistance for our brave and dedicated police and fire departments and other front line personnel. I want to personally thank Marc Perlman, Principal Owner and CEO of Ocean State Job Lot, and Aaron’s Rental for being truly a great corporate citizen for our city and stepping up to help us fight this virus.”
The Mayor also says that he is assurances from the Baker Administration that more masks and other materials are on the way from the state. Front line hospitals are being taken care of first, but when the state has put together enough for the city of Springfield it will be on the way.
