The Fair is seeking non-perishable foods for area food pantries in each of the three counties that the Fair represents, including the Easthampton Community Center, Greenfield’s Salvation Army Food Pantry and Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen & Food Pantry in Chicopee.
Non-perishables include:
- canned fruit
- soup
- tuna
- vegetables
- cereal
- pasta
- pasta sauce
- peanut butter
- and more
"We are happy to support our local food pantries with this Drive Thru Food Drive," shares James Przypek, General Manager of the Three County Fair.
"Each one we contacted with our plans were excited to hear from us and expressed that this will help ease their continuing needs. The event has been coordinated with both the Health & Safety departments for the City of Northampton and we appreciate their guidance and assistance during these challenging times for all."
Donations can be dropped off at the Fair’s Arena located at 54 Old Ferry Road in Northampton between the hours of 9 am - 3 pm on May 9. The Fair requests that donations be compiled in disposable bags or boxes for volunteers to easily accept them from vehicles.
Each vehicle that donates will be provided with a complimentary ticket to the 2020 Three County Fair, scheduled for September 4-7.
