Governor Baker has filed a so-called "1/12th" budget that will keep the state operational through July.
The Governor is seeking 5 and a quarter billion dollars to keep the state going.
The new fiscal year starts July 1st and neither the House nor the Senate have produced a spending plan because they are still gauging the impact of the pandemic.
House and Senate leaders have not even laid out a timeline for when that will happen.
Lawmakers have seven days to approve the measure.
The Governor had filed in January a 44 billion dollar bill that most economists believe could now be unbalanced to the tune of more than 6 billion dollars.
