Veterans Secretary Resigns Because Of Holyoke Home Outbreak

The Massachusetts Secretary of Veterans Affairs Francisco Urena is resigning his position.

Veterans groups have been calling for Urena's resignation since a coronavirus outbreak at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke killed at least 75 residents.

Urena confirmed last night that he had been asked to resign and that he had agreed to step down.

The resignation comes as a report into the Holyoke outbreak is set to be released as early as today.
