State Rep Says "Will Of The Voter" Will Be Obeyed

A new Massachusetts Turnpike interchange in Blandford appears unlikely.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation had suggested a couple of locations in the town after calls were made to consider breaking up a thirty-mile stretch of no exits on the Mass Pike.

Blandford residents shot down the question of constructing a new exit in an election last week by a close vote.

State Representative William Pignatelli tells The Berkshire Eagle the vote will be respected.

A possible interchange in Otis was previously eliminated from consideration.
