An out-of-state man died after reportedly leading police on a chase on I-91 on Sunday night.
According to the Northwestern District Attorney's Office, state troopers tried to stop a vehicle on 91 in Holyoke for an unreadable license plate, but the driver sped away before crashing into a guardrail on the interstate in Northampton. Police say the 27-year-old from Vermont was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
The incident remains under investigation.
