The Holyoke Soldiers' Home board of trustees did not publicly discuss the job status of Superintendent Bennett Walsh during a meeting on Wednesday.
The board chair had said prior to the meeting that the matter would be talked about privately in executive session.
A judge recently ruled that the state could not fire Walsh for the handling of a deadly coronavirus outbreak at the Soldiers' Home; that was the responsibility of the board.
The state attorney general recently filed criminal neglect charges against Walsh and the facility's chief medical officer, who resigned.
