2021 To See New Top Cop In Holyoke

A change of police chief is happening in Holyoke. Mayor Alex Morse has announced Captain David Pratt will succeed Manuel Febo, who plans to retire next summer.

Captain Pratt has been a Holyoke Police Officer since 1993, a Supervisor since 1999, and a Captain since 2011.

During his time as Captain, Pratt has been the Commander of Operations, Criminal Investigations, budget and grants, COVID-19 supplies, and the Holyoke Public School’s SRO program.

Throughout the last three years Captain Pratt has served as Acting Chief in Febo’s absence, and has held the informal role of Deputy Chief working alongside Chief Febo.

Febo will retire July 31st, 2021.
