Springfield Department of Public Works will begin the collection of Christmas Trees beginning on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021. The collection will continue until January 29th. Officials say the trees will be collected on a residential recycling day. Trees must not have decorations and the trees should be placed on the tree belt. Officials also say that if it snows during the pickup process than you will be responsible for digging the tree out and placing it back on the tree belt. Residents can also drop off their trees at Bondi’s Island at no charge.
