More Snow On The Move In Busy Weather Week

Saturday a delightful day with bright sunshine. But temperatures dropping overnight we are in store for another bout of winter. The coastal storm that forecasters earlier in the week had difficulty forecasting is now clear.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Advisory for most of the region with the possibility of between 4 and 8 inches of snow being forecast. The advisory will be on the books for the entire day Sunday.

It looks like another coastal storm for Massachusetts and Connecticut. The snow should start before noon time. The best estimates are that for most of us in the Pioneer Valley we should see something in the neighborhood of 2 to 4 inches. There will be more in the Berkshires. More in Central Massachusetts. Southeast Mass could get more than 8 inches.

The path of the storm may alter the amounts one way or the other. Meantime, the temperatures will drop to the teens Sunday night.

That won’t be the end of it. There is another storm that could develop for us in time for Tuesday and a third storm that could be in our forecast for Friday. We should get more on that later in the week.
