Massachusetts officials are planning to wait a little longer before lifting the mask requirements indoors and outdoors. Federal officials announced yesterday that people fully vaccinated for coronavirus can stop wearing masks in most indoor and outdoor situations. The Baker administration indicates the state's restrictions will be updated soon, but for now the mask mandate remains. The current state rules require masks while indoors in public places and outside when social distancing is not possible.
Meantime, Rhode Island officials are considering whether they will lift mandates there.
Governor Lamont in Connecticut has opted to follow the CDC guidance as announced.
