Diocese To Release Updated List Of Cases Of Sexual Abuse

There are several reports that the man who was pegged as the killer of a 13 year old altar boy nearly a half century ago, died last week from covid19.

Defrocked Priest Richard Lavigne never confessed to the killing of Danny Croteau, but did say he was the last person to see him alive.

Meantime, there is increasing pressure of the Diocese of Springfield to release all the files related to sex abuse cases in the church.

Bishop William Byrne says that he will release an updated list next week of all credible complaints against priests and lay personnel...even those who have died.

But even that is not satisfying everyone. The head of the group Road to Recovery says the catholic church wants to control the narative so they are not expecting all the cases to be revealed.

They continue to ask for the State Attorney General to get involved.

Still no word on whether Maura Healey will.
