The Amherst School Committee is setting a deadline for public school students to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The finalized date which was set on Tuesday is December 1st.
Amherst is the first school district in Massachusetts to include the COVID-19 shot on the list of required student vaccinations.
Teachers are also part of the mandate. They have until November 15th in order to get vaccinated.
