Springfield City Councilor Justin Hurst recently charged and repaid over five-thousand dollars in personal expenses to his campaign account, according to a report from the Springfield Republican.
Hurst told the newspaper that the charges were accidentally put on the wrong debit card.
He says he immediately reached out to the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance to fix the issue.
Hurst is seeking a fifth term on the Springfield council.
