A man was sentenced in federal court in Springfield on Tuesday for tax offenses.
Cory Kizer of Kissimmee, Florida was sentenced to 15 months in prison.
Kizer pleaded guilty to wire fraud and theft of public money charges earlier this year.
Prosecutors say he obtained personal identifying information to file false tax returns and obtain unwarranted refunds totaling over a half-million dollars.
