More Calls For Drivers To Slow Down And Pay Attention Behind The Wheel

Springfield Police are investigating a series of accidents in the city---that have left three people dead.

The latest accident--late yesterday on Verge Street, near The Eastfield Mall saw a car go out of control --hitting a second car and bursting into flames.

Residents in the neighborhood trying to put out the flames to get to the victim. But Police say that victim died at the scene.

Meantime, State Rep Orlando Ramos says he wants more cops on the street patrolling in an effort to keep the speeds down. He says there are too many distractions---from cellphones and other electronics that are getting in the way of keeping the roads safe.
