A Central Massachusetts man is facing charges for allegedly putting a foreign substance in someone's gas tank in the Springfield area.
The Southampton Police Department responded to a report of suspicious activity at a Big Y store over the weekend and arrested Alexander Yee of Winchendon on Monday.
Yee, in pleading not guilty to the charges told the judge that he has a "car cranking fetish".
Meantime, the Southampton PD says it is investigating if there are any underlying motives with Yee's alleged conduct.
Hadley police, and others are looking into whether someone targeted female drivers by pouring water into their gas tanks.
