Governor Offers At Home Tests For Students And School Staff

 At-home rapid coronavirus tests are being made available by the state for school staffs and students in Massachusetts.

The intent to is to allow for weekly testing so schools can stay open for in-person learning. 

State education and health officials say schools that opt in starting next week, can discontinue contact tracing and the test-to-stay program. 

The test kits for students will be available the week of January 31st. 

Meantime, in Springfield, city officials have announced that it has ordered 30 thousand more tests for community members- but that the delivery date is up in the air because of supply chain issues.

The city has already delivered 170 thousand at home covid tests to residents over the last several weeks.
