Another Bout Of Winter Weather Set For Friday

Parts of Western Massachusetts are under a Winter Storm Warning from the National Weather Service for Friday. The warning includes Franklin County and western Hampshire County, where the forecast calls for heavy mixed precipitation.

According to the people in the Weather Center freezing rain and sleet is expected Friday before 3pm, then snow and sleet likely between 3pm and 4pm, then snow likely after 4pm. Temperature falling to around 21 by 5pm.

Snow and sleet totaling one-to-four inches, plus one-to-two-tenths of an inch of ice, are on the table. Northern Berkshire County, which is also included in the warning, is forecast to get up to seven inches of snow and sleet.
