Providence Man Stands Trial For Murder Of Boston Woman

The federal trial for Louis Coleman, the Providence man accused of a fatal kidnapping, is underway in Boston.

Jassy Correia of Boston was last seen at a nightclub in the city on February 24th, 2019. Prosecutors allege Coleman took Correia's body into his Providence apartment building before he was later stopped on Route 95 in Delaware.

Correia's body was found in the trunk. Federal prosecutors in Boston have said they will not seek the death penalty.

One of Coleman's Attorneys, David Hoose of Amherst said at the time of that decision that the death penalty was not warranted in this case.
