DA Releases New Sketches In Cold Case

New sketches of a possible suspect have been released in the disappearance of a young woman in Berkshire County over 40 years ago.

Eighteen-year-old Lynn Burdick disappeared while working at a store on Route Two in the town of Florida in April of 1982, and police believe she was abducted. Authorities have released age-progressed sketches of a suspect in an attempted kidnapping in Williamstown that happened 45 minutes before Burdick went missing.

According to investigators "Evidence indicates that the suspect is a white male, 5-foot-7-inches tall and is now approximately 70 years old. Further case data suggests that he may have ties to the state of Vermont. We are releasing a new sketch of how the suspect appeared in 1982 and four aged-progressed sketches of how he may appear today, with assorted grooming alterations."

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact State Police.
