The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court has agreed to review a decision to dismiss criminal neglect charges against the former superintendent and medical director of the Holyoke Soldiers' Home.
The charges had been filed in connection to the deaths of dozens of veterans at the facility from a coronavirus outbreak in 2020.
A Hampden County judge determined there was not enough evidence that the actions taken by Bennett Walsh and Dr. David Clinton amounted to a crime.
The request to have the state Supreme Court review the case was made by the attorney general's office.
