A Massachusetts state lawmaker is announcing plans to reintroduce a bill next month that would legalize "physician-assisted suicide".
Senator Jo Comerford tells the Recorder newspaper, quote, "advocates are building a very strong case for support, and clearly public opinion is changing."
The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court rejected a lawsuit earlier this month that was brought on by two Cape Cod doctors seeking the legalization, one of whom has late-stage cancer.
It is unclear when the state legislature wlll take up the issue.
