Daughter Of MA Congresswoman Free On Bail After Boston Common Charges

The daughter of Congresswoman Katherine Clark remains free on 500-dollars bail after being arraigned for assault and battery on a police officer.

Riley Dowell allegedly was flailing while being arrested for spray painting on the Boston Common bandstand when she hit the officer in the face on Saturday.

Dowell is also charged with vandalizing a historic monument for spray painting anti-police messages in the Parkman Bandstand.

Police identified Riley Dowell by her birth name of Jared in their report, as she was assigned as male at birth and has transitioned to female.

Congresswoman Clark was not in court with her daughter.
