West Springfield officials have issued a boil water order effective immediately and until further notice. Officials say a water main break in the Rogers Avenue has created lower than normal water pressures. As a result, the boil water order for:
South of Dewey Street and Amostown Road, to the Westfield River/Agawam boundary; and
â—Ź West of Piper Road/Amostown Road/South Boulevard to the Westfield boundary.
You are advised not to consume tap water without boiling it first.
Officials aren’t saying how long the order will be in effect.
