A Springfield, Massachusetts man has been found guilty of kidnapping related to an attack on a woman in 1984 in Avon.
A jury in Hartford yesterday convicted 75-year-old George Legere after he was linked to the attack through DNA testing that took place in 2019.
Prosecutors say Legere kidnapped the woman as she exited her vehicle at an Avon apartment complex, then beat and sexually assaulted her.
Legere will be sentenced in July in Hartford Superior Court.
