The Easthampton City Council is not overriding the veto of Mayor Nicole LaChapelle regarding an ordinance that would restrict deceptive advertising at crisis pregnancy centers.
LaChapelle expressed concerns that the ordinance could face legal challenges, and she also said it would not add to the rights that an individual has under existing state law.
The head of the group "Reproductive Equity Now" said they are determined to keep fighting to ensure everyone in Massachusetts has access to accurate, unbiased information on how to obtain reproductive health care services.
