Springfield and Chicopee Police are investigating separate murder cases this afternoon.
Police in Springfield investigating a shooting at the corner of Hancock and Union Streets Sunday night.
In Chicopee, police there are investigating the stabbing death of a man on West Street. Both cases are active.
No arrests have been made in either case.
In Springfield it is the 18 th murder of the year.
