The state Senate has released a five-billion-dollar housing bond bill.

The Senate measure does not include language that would have allowed cities and towns to impose a fee on the sales of high priced properties.

The bill does include billions of dollars for affordable housing, along with tax credits and possible zoning changes.

The Senate bill differs from the House version, and differences will have to be worked out in a conference committee.
