The man accused of killing a mother and baby from Springfield in Connecticut last month appeared in court yesterday.
Lance Morales faces charges including murder under special circumstances for the deaths of 20-year-old Jessiah Mercado and her four-month-old son Messiah Diaz in a drive-by shooting in Hartford.
Authorities said Morales fled to Puerto Rico after the shooting but was captured a few days later.
He is being held on five-million-dollars bond and will be back in court in February.
