State Lawmakers Call For Investigation Into Rising Utility Bills

Western Massachusetts lawmakers are joining calls for an investigation into a utility company's rising costs.

A bipartisan group of state legislators recently sent a letter to the Department of Public Utilities requesting that they reassess the rate adjustments made by Eversource.

State Senator John Velis called the rate hike "fundamentally unfair."

The letter follows a similar request made last week by West Springfield Mayor Will Reichelt.
