Cape Cod State Senator Dylan Fernandez says the five percent, two-month reduction in natural gas bills- ordered by the Department of Public Utilities is ok, but it is nowhere near where it needs to be.
\Fernandez is calling on the State Attorney General to investigate dramatic increases in bills.
In addition, the Senator says that he is considering a measure that seeks to explore whether the state should move away from investor-owned utilities to publicly owned ones.
He does not say what the timetable for the legislation will be.
