Governor Dan Malloy is seeking to counter President Trump's plans to ban transgender people from serving in the military.
Malloy yesterday signed an executive order reinforcing the state's non-discrimination policies within the Connecticut military department.
The order also directs the Military Department to take steps to minimize any discriminatory impact on service members from the federal directive.
Meantime, Governor Baker, in Massachusetts has not as of yet issued any similar Executive Order. It is still unclear whether he will.
