It is certainly an interesting time of year. People stop and wish you “happy holidays or Merry Christmas” then race unabated to the next open parking space without care of the chaos that is created by their actions.
Although Christmas is the “most wonderful time of the year” it is also a time where we should consider the true meaning of the holiday rather than what Wall Street or Park Avenue want you to think about it.
When are we going to understand that Christmas (or whichever variation you wish to celebrate in its place) is for all. Everybody. No matter what.
Instead what we get is a sense that “my way is the only way” rather than community spirit that we all talk about ---but the words stop short of action.
We should all be thankful for what we have….hopeful for what the years may bring….ever faithful that the future is as bright as the lights on the tree.
“Joy to the World” should be what we strive for rather than sing effortlessly about but care little about.
And until that happens A Christmas Miracle may be something we read and sing about but never really attain.
I hope your Christmas is what you want it to be for you and yours.
Merry Christmas everyone.
