You Never Know What They Mean Until They Aren't There Anymore

People throughout the area, the state, the region and the world continue to pay their respects to Kobe Bryant, one of nine people to die in that horrific helicopter crash this past weekend in L-A.

The Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield has created a memorial in memory of NBA star Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash this weekend. The memorial is in the Hoop Hall's lobby, and the Hall is inviting fans to pay their respects. Bryant is a nominee to be inducted into the Hall this year.

Basketball players from throughout the area have paid their own respects in their own way. Some during games last night wore the numbers "8" and "24" on socks or wristbands as a show of tribute.

At other facilities, games were actually stopped at 8:24 to remember Kobe.

The UConn women played Team USA last night.

On the UConn bench there was a chair, a uniform and flyers left for Gianna Bryant. Most people believed that the talented 14 year old girl would eventually play for UConn.

Other teams remembered Kobe in other ways.

Amazing isn't it?

It's true.

Never underestimate the affect someone has on another person.

You never know what someone really means to another person until it is too late.
