Pot Sales May Be Delayed

Legal marijuana sales arrive in  Massachusetts in July, but stores selling pot may only be accepting cash  at first.

Currently, no banks have stepped up to offer services to  recreational marijuana companies in the state.

Many banks are concerned  because marijuana is still illegal under federal law.

Retail pot shops  will be forced to deal entirely in cash if no banks step up to offer  them services in the near future.

The Massachusetts Law was expected to go into effect in a couple of weeks but that date is likely to be delayed for recreational sales.
