The two Congressmen representing Western Massachusetts are reacting to President Trump's latest State of the Union speech, focusing on Trump's call for unity.
Congressman Richard Neal says unity is important, but that he is dismayed at the lack of any kind of bipartisanship during the first two years of Trump's presidency.
Fellow U.S. Representative Jim McGovern tweeted that it was great that Trump talked about bipartisanship, but noted that Democrats and Republicans agreed to spending bills in December, and that it was Trump who caused a government shutdown which lasted over a month.
McGovern says the actions of the President over the next several weeks will be a true indicator of what the President really wants.
