Three Feet Is What Lawmakers Want To Keep Bicyclists Safe

State Lawmakers say they may have a way to keep bicyclists safe.

State Senator William Brownsberger says that his bill would require an extra three feet of space between a passing car and a bicyclist.

They would get additional room the faster a motorist was going.

But some drivers say that the idea of keeping everyone as safe as possible is good but pragmatically it is never going to happen.

A lot of drivers say no one is paying attention to the driving laws now and one more won't make any difference.

No word on when lawmakers will take up the measure.
