South Deerfield Man Charged With Selling Fake Drugs

More details are out about a federal investigation that has taken place this week in Western Massachusetts.

The U.S. Justice Department in Kansas says Anthony Stokes, of South Deerfield, is charged with five counts of distributing fentanyl and five counts of selling counterfeit drugs in Wyandotte County, Kansas. Stokes was arrested at his home on Tuesday.

The DOJ says the Deerfield and Whately police departments assisted with the investigation.

Authorities also reportedly executed a search warrant in Greenfield on Tuesday in connection to the case.

There has been no arraignment information released.
