Ten proposals for outfitting Springfield police officers with body cameras have been received.
A request for proposals period ended yesterday afternoon and a review committee is already reviewing the proposals, according to information released by the city.
A search committee is already going through the bids.
Acting Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood said there was delightful surprise over the number of responses received and said it gives the committee more options than anticipated.
The city says the goal is to have officers wearing cameras by the end of the year.
