Election day in the Pioneer Valley today will focus on Westfield and Greenfield.
In Westfield, state Senator Don Humason and city police captain Michael McCabe are running for mayor, as incumbent Brian Sullivan is not seeking another term.
A new mayor is also being elected in Greenfield, with incumbent William Martin not seeking re-election.
Candidates are Sheila Gilmour, Roxann Wedegartner and Brickett Allis.
In Holyoke, its not about a candidate but about an issue.
Voters there are being asked to approve a funding source for the building of two new schools.
A heavy turnout is expected there.
