Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno is apologizing after vociferous complaints about the city's snow removal efforts last week.
Sarno says the city must be and will be better prepared. He says he has he has directed Department of Public Works Director Chris Cignoli to review street inspector procedures, "full-court-press" with the Springfield Police Department on ticketing and towing, aggressively manage and hold plowing sub-contractors accountable, and expand pre-treatment of roads.
Some residents say the quality of road work has declined over recent years.
