Judge Dismisses Some Charges In Nathan Bill's Case

An update on the 2015 Nathan Bill's police brawl case in Springfield.

The Springfield Republican reports a judge dismissed a charge of filing a false police report against retired Springfield police sergeant Louis Bortolussi yesterday.

Earlier this month, an entire case was dropped against former city policeman and current state trooper Nathaniel Perez.

The case began with 16 defendants - 14 current or former members of the city police force and two owners of the Nathan Bill's pub in East Forest Park.

It focuses on an alleged altercation between off-duty law enforcement and civilians which began at the establishment.
