New York Man Convicted In Springfield Drug Case

A Bronx, New York man is being convicted of conspiring to distribute heroin in Springfield.

The U.S. Justice Department says Richard Rosario was convicted by a federal grand jury on Wednesday.

Prosecutors say Rosario routinely traveled to a heroin mill in Springfield and packaged kilograms of the drug for retail distribution for a drug-trafficking organization based in the city.

He's scheduled to be sentenced in June.
