Will The State Bet On Its Own Lottery?

The head of the Massachusetts Lottery is warning that it's at risk of becoming obsolete. 

Lottery Executive Director Michael Sweeney says the industry continues to move towards online gaming and cashless sales. 

The state lottery's model is focused on in person cash sales at retail stores. 

The lottery set a record with over a billion-dollars in profits last year.
