Authorities are warning there's been an increase in vehicle thefts and break-ins recently in Hampden County communities.
District Attorney Anthony Gulluni says several incidents are linked to a group who travel into the area during the overnight hours in search of unlocked vehicles.
Many of the stolen vehicles have been found in the Hartford, Connecticut area.
Break-ins and thefts have been reported in East Longmeadow, Longmeadow, West Springfield and Ludlow.
