Governor Rejects Climate Change Bill

Governor Charlie Baker is vetoing the wide reaching climate change and energy bill passed by the legislature last week.

Baker was forced to either sign or veto the bill, as it was passed a day before the end of the legislative session.

Baker says he would have returned it to the legislature with proposed amendments if there had been more time.

Democratic leaders in the legislature are pledging to approve it again and send it back to the governor.

The House Speaker Ron Mariano says he will refile the very same bill shortly.
