A Boston woman who recently returned from England has tested positive for the more contagious variant of coronavirus.
The woman in her 20s developed symptoms the day after she returned to Boston from the UK.
She had tested negative for COVID 19 before flying back to the U.S.
This is the first confirmed case of the more contagious variant of the virus in Massachusetts.
Doctors say that there is other reason to believe that the current vaccine that is out there will be able to fight off the variant UK strain.
