Gas Price On Dramatic Spike

Gasoline prices are surging in Massachusetts and across the region.

Triple A Southern New England reports that the current price of a gallon of self serve regular gas is two-dollars and 34 cents.

That's an increase of seven cents since last week, and 19-cents higher than a month ago.

Triple A says the increase is because of the rising cost of crude oil and a tightening of supply.
